With less than a week to go until the Columbus Arts Festival, artists around the world and here in central Ohio are getting ready to show off their work.

One of the artists featured this year is Colleen Rosshirt. She’s been a vendor at the Columbus Arts Festival for three years. Rosshirt specialized in stained glass. She said the colors piqued her interest in the craft, and she loves that it’s a very accessible art form.

Visitors to the arts festival can try their hand at creating their own stained glass art. Just make sure to visit “The Big Local Art Tent” behind COSI. The tent features more than 60 local artists. Those wanting to try making stained glass must be 13 years old or older.

This year, the arts festival is also making it easier than ever to find the artists you want to check out. Using the new mobile app, you can search for specific artists and use the interactive map of the festival. To download the app, just search for “Columbus Arts Festival” in your app store.

More than 300 artists from around the world will be coming to this year’s arts festival, according to Jami Goldstein with the Greater Columbus Arts Council. The festival will also feature six stages for live entertainment, great food, hands-on activities and plenty more for everyone to enjoy.
