(WCMH) – A choir group from Los Angeles earned guest judge Olivia Munn’s golden buzzer on America’s Got Talent.

For Tuesday’s judge cuts performance, the choir sang composer Christopher Tin’s Baba Yetu, the theme song to the video game Civilization IV.

‘Baba Yetu’ means ‘Our Father’ and the lyrics are a Swahili translation of the Lord’s Prayer.

“Not only am I listening to you and absorbing the sound, but I’m looking at your faces. Everybody is living the song more than playing the song or singing the song. You took me on a journey and I love you,” said judge Howie Mandel.

“Why I like this so much, is how much you guys care,” said Simon Cowell. “I’ve heard a lot of choirs over the years. But, this is original and I like the choreography.  And you’re a little dynamo, Sue. I wouldn’t mess with you.”

“Just looking around and seeing the diversity, seeing different ages, different races, yet, you guys are all singing from the same voice. It is so inspirational to see all of you guys,” said guest judge Olivia Munn.

Munn then pressed the golden buzzer for the group, sending them directly to the live rounds without any further deliberation from the judges.

Angel City Chorale is led by founder and director Sue Fink. According to its website, the choir is committed to ‘building community one song at a time.”

The group includes 160 singers, 145 of whom performed on Tuesday’s show.

“I wanted to start something to give back to the community,” said Fink. “We try to represent diversity, different religions, different ages. We’re black, white, rich, poor, gay, straight. Even the Republicans and Democrats can sit next to each other in our group.

Angel City Chorale is the second choir to earn a guest judge’s golden buzzer. Voices of Hope earned Ken Jeong’s golden buzzer in the first week of judge cuts.

The group joins singers Makayla Phillips, Amanda Mena,  Courtney Hadwin and Michael Ketterer as well as acrobatic dance group Zurcaroh.

In America’s Got Talent, a golden buzzer automatically passes the performer or performers to the live rounds of the show. Each judge and the host are allowed to press the golden buzzer once over the course of all audition rounds.

During judge cuts, the guest judge’s sole vote is through the use of the golden buzzer.
